One person, one mailing list, no analytics. This page explains exactly what I hold and how to make me delete it.

Who is responsible

I run this site personally, which makes me the data controller under the GDPR. You can reach me at the address shown here for anything on this page.

What I collect

When you submit the form, three things are recorded:

• Your email address, so I can write to you.
• The date and time you gave consent.
• The IP address you gave it from.

The last two exist only so I can demonstrate that consent was actually given, which the GDPR requires me to be able to do. They are never used to profile you or work out where you are.

Nothing else. There are no analytics, no cookies, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags, and no third-party fonts or scripts. Everything this page loads comes from this domain.

Why I’m allowed to hold it

Your consent, and only your consent, under Article 6(1)(a). That is why the checkbox starts empty and why nothing is sent until you click the link in the confirmation email. Until you click it, your address is inactive and receives no mail.

Where it is kept, and who else sees it

The list lives in a Cloudflare D1 database, which I control. Cloudflare also hosts this page, acting as my processor. MailerLite sends the mail and holds a copy of your address for that purpose, also as my processor. Neither is permitted to use your address for their own ends. Both may process data outside the EEA under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

I do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise pass your address to anyone else.

How long I keep it

Until you ask me to stop. Every email carries an unsubscribe link; one click removes you, no login and no questions. I keep the row after that, marked unsubscribed, purely so I can show the request was honoured. Deleting it outright would leave me unable to prove anything. Ask and I will erase it entirely.

An address that is never confirmed sits unused and is deleted in the annual clear-out.

Your rights

You can ask me for a copy of what I hold, correct it, delete it, restrict what I do with it, take it elsewhere, or object to it. You can also withdraw consent whenever you like, which is as simple as unsubscribing. Withdrawing it doesn’t undo anything sent beforehand. Ask via the address above and I’ll act within a month.

If I handle it badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority.

Changes

If this notice changes in a way that affects you, I’ll say so in an email rather than quietly editing the page.
